Local SEO – Optimizing Your Site’s Location


Frisco local SEO is exactly the same as the veritable organic SEO, this time however, with an added geographical component. The rationale is that you would need to rank high in the search engine result pages (SERPs) for local searches.

There is not much point for a New York restaurant to rank high in Houston’s local search results. The point is that they would want people searching for restaurants in New York to find them. However, you still need to improve your Frisco local SEO to increase your local traffic.

Among the local search ranking factors, the proximity to the searcher is the top local pack-ranking factor. With all searches on Google, 46% are local.

If you’re a local business and you have no local SEO in order, you’re likely to miss out on the opportunities every time someone looks for your product or service online.

Of late, there are around 89% of people searching for local business on their smart phones at least weekly. (It’s 58% for all those searching daily.)

Optimization

For local SEO, (or organic SEO, for that matter) you need to optimize your site to move it in the SERPs.
The first important move is creating your dedicated contact page.  People want detailed info on your business, and your contact page, you need to clearly show your NAP (name, address and phone).

You also need to include all of your business addresses (if you have 10 or fewer locations) and include the complete NAP on the site footer. Make the phone numbers clickable on mobile devices.

Add the maps on your locations so the physical search is much easier. You could also add testimonials which Google declares as “trust signals”.

Finally, add Schema, a common language for major search engines. Adding it for local businesses tells the engines you are a local business and not a big brand.

Online profiles

You need to claim your online profiles and make sure your business is properly listed on the main review platforms like Google My Business, TripAdvisor, Yelp and Facebook. Don’t leave out local review sites.

Filling out your profiles in these platforms can improve your rankings. The same is true in claiming your social profiles to target your correct demographics. Make sure your profiles are identical on all places for consistency.

Local content / links

Local content is boosted if you have you create a blog on your website. If possible, host your own blog on your business domain for more focused exposure.

Not everyone use city names when searching so you be sure to also include neighboring towns and cities, neighborhoods and unofficial terms used by the locals. Include news and happening and capitalize on the popularity of an upcoming community event, fairs, elections, etc.

When building your blog audiences, you also want to collect inbound links. This is a good way to start conversations with other local business blogs, especially if they are related or complementary to yours.

Getting optimized via local SEO for your site is easier than you think.
