Content Marketing – A Short Intro

In its simplified shape, Plano content marketing is one form of a strategic marketing approach that is focused on creating, publishing, and distributing content for a targeted online audience. Ultimately, it is to derive a profitable customer action.

In actual context, this form of marketing is a long-term strategy that concentrates on building a strong relationship with the target audience. This the business companies do by giving the audience high-quality content.

Eventually, when customers will make a decision, their loyalty already lies with the company. They will purchase and prefer it over those of the competitors’ options.

Business goals

Businesses have different aims in this form of marketing. One is to attract attention and generate leads. Later, it is to expand the customer base and generate increase in online sales.

Later, the concentration is to increase brand awareness all throughout. Finally, it is to engage the online community of users.

Strategies

Still different from the other forms of marketing, this type relies more on anticipating and meeting an existing customer need for information. As declared by an expert, the central idea is for “the brand to give something valuable to get something valuable in return.”

When companies follow this type of marketing, the main focus should be the needs of the prospects or the customers. After a business identifies his customer’s needs, information can be presented in a variety of formats.

Digital marketing

Digital marketing is one management process using electronic channels to identify, forecast, and satisfy the content requirements of a particular audience. The important move, however, is to have it consistently updated.

Businessmen should note that the foundation of this marketing form is simply high-quality content and storytelling. There are three major categories where you can put your efforts these days: online, offline, and hybrids.

3D Content model

An online publication has one suggested model. This one has only three steps to do: mapping the content to the pain point; using the right type of content for that problem, and mapping the content to the buying cycle of the people who have that problem.

The point is to move the focus away from the marketer and point it to the person that the marketer is trying to reach. This is one important step to take in one’s own marketing strategy.

Two sample stories

In 1732, the famous Benjamin Franklin who practically had a hand in many things to improve the lot of men published his own version of his Poor Richard’s Almanack.

Why did he do it? He did it because he wanted to advertise the new printing business he had created. He figured it was the best way that will potentially encourage others to print theirs, too.

John Deere, the heavy equipment company, did something similar. They published a lifestyle magazine for farmers for free.

John Deere did this because they also understood the heart of Plano content marketing: if you produce free and helpful content for your target market, they will engage with you, spread your message, and probably even buy from you. (Deere products include farm machines.)
